Cross-store thresholds during the big festivals, and whose checkout they reward
The festival cut is a platform scheme that lives inside a single payment. Taobao's own rules say the money never moves to anyone else.
How a cross-store threshold works
During the big marketplace festivals, many shops join a platform scheme called 跨店满减, the cross-store threshold. Taobao's rules for the cross-store threshold tool (revised 11 August 2021, read on 19 October 2026) describe it plainly. A participating listing shows an icon and a line that reads "for every X, take off Y". X counts the goods amount only, not shipping, tax or service fees. Items from different participating shops on the same tier can be paid together to reach the line, and the cut repeats for every multiple, with no cap.
When the saving covers goods from several shops, the rules share it out in proportion to each item's amount. We are not printing the tiers: they change from one campaign to the next, and none of them would be true on the day you read this.
Why the saving stays with one checkout
One sentence in the tool rules settles where this discount belongs. The cross-store threshold is described as a direct cut to the amount actually paid on the order, with no money flowing out of a user's account, being withdrawn, being passed to someone else or paying for someone else. It exists only inside one checkout.
An agent's buying account pays for many customers' goods. If a festival cut applies to one of its checkouts, it is cut from that payment, and how an agent then prices the items is its own policy. The sort puts the cross-store threshold in the lane that usually stays with the account. If an agent tells you it passes festival savings on, it is fair to ask how the share is worked out.
跨店满减为订单实付金额直接减免玩法,不存在资金从用户账户流转、提现、转赠他人或为他人付款的情形。
Refunds on a threshold order
Festival orders have a refund wrinkle worth knowing. Under the tool rules, if part of a paid threshold order is refunded, the money returned is the share of the amount actually paid, worked out by the tier. Refund the whole order and the full amount paid comes back. The cut is not returned to anyone separately, because it was never money in the first place.
For an agent order this mostly matters when one piece in a festival purchase is sent back to the seller. The refund that reaches the agent is the item's share of what was paid, which may be lower than its sticker. How CNFans passes refunds back to customers was never described on the archived pages; ask if a festival item is likely to be returned.
Festival weeks from a reader's side
Festivals change three things you can see. Catalog cards captured during a campaign may include a cross-store cut that belonged to somebody's checkout. Listings carry more labels than usual, stacked on top of each other: the tool rules let the cross-store cut combine with single-item offers, shop offers, one coupon from the store, item or red packet family, coins and cash red packets. And sellers lean harder on price wording.
None of that changes the rope. Decide on the price your order will meet, which is the set or promotion price plus anything that rides on your own basket. If a festival figure is the reason you chose an item, check it again when the campaign ends. Delivery speed during festivals is a different subject, and this page leaves it alone.
